Why do people hate math?
-I think people hate math because it takes so much work and effort to finish the assignment and you really have to focus and pay attention. I think it may also be hard to try to comprehend for some people and that makes math really frustrating.
-Also because math requires a lot of effort and AMERICANS are extremely lazy.
Do you like or hate math & why? (before and after BTW)
-I don't hate math, i just hate doing it. Before I came to BTW uhh I liked it and I still do, but yeah I just hate long assignments...
- I like math it's my favorite subject because they always have a definite answer. Unlike reading where you have to think about peoples feelings.
Do you think math is important for artists?
-Definitely, the other day I had to use simple math to try and figure a time signature that would go with my piece. I think math is very important for every day use as well as for being an artist. I believe math is a universal language.
- Yes, i think it important so you can pass music theory and get into a good musical college and not drop out (music theory is the main reason musicians drop out of college) and end up a homeless deadbeat on the streets with no musical talent.
How can math education improve?
-Math education can improve by making it more animated and fun. Instead of taking a numerical and boring approach, teachers should really make their method creative and understandable. Its not that the students are like stupid, they may just take a longer time to really grasp the point.
- I think the best way to teach math is to get the students involved. Teachers such come up with fun INTERACTIVE activities. This would get the students excited about math instead of the innocuous numbers and long problems.
